Company profile
FCM Holding A/S (hereafter FCM) was established in 1999 as a merger between the two clubs Herning Fremad and IFS. The sporting target of the company in the short term is to establish itself in the top half of the Danish SAS league. In the long term the target of the company is to become a permanent part of the top-four teams in the league.
FCM focuses intensively on developing talents. Through youth development programmes, the target is to increase the flow of competent players to the club’s SAS league team as well as to develop players who may be sold to other football clubs in both Denmark and abroad. The development of talents is built up around the FS MidtVest co-operation which includes 111 amateur clubs (as per April 2005) throughout mid-Jutland and western Jutland. As a superstructure on top of this, FC Midtjylland has started Denmark’s first football academy. Besides, the club owns a football club in Ghana and has started co-operating with a Nigerian club.
As from 1 April 2004, FCM has had a new, modern stadium for its home matches. The stadium is owned by Messecenter Herning with whom a lease agreement has been concluded. In 2004 the average attendance was 9,300 for the team’s home matches. At the same time the management expects that the improved facilities at the stadium for the sponsors will increase the sponsorship revenue to about DKK 26 million in 2005 compared to DKK 23-24 million in 2004.
At present the administration of FCM has 14 employees and the company is well prepared to handle the tasks of a top-league club in Denmark.
FCM sees itself as the SAS league team of all of mid-Jutland and western Jutland.
