• participation in a green investment with the production of renewable resources in the form of timber and fibres in an environmentally safe manner that preserves nature;
• having the opportunity of and the inspiration for good experiences in nature. Hunting, fishing, hiking, playing golf etc. Under the auspices of Dansk Skovselskab A/S, groups managed by shareholders have been set up which arrange joint events, the exchange of experience, practical travelling advice and savings;
• forest-land owners/shareholders signalling to their surroundings their joy gained from nature and their belief in the importance of nature, both in financial terms and mentally.

The investments made by Dansk Skovselskab A/S are based on the following strategies:

• a basically sound economy of the forests with a real rate of return exceeding what can be achieved from an investment in mortgage credit bonds;
• the forests are owned during the periods of their useful life when they generate the best rate of return;
• investments are made in forests with amenity values;
• the earnings must be based on all the earnings components of forestry – expansion of afforested land, Christmas trees, hunting fees from shareholders and others, capital gains from sales and subsidies.
